About The Band

For a while, it felt like we were a band in theory, not in truth. We had the songs and the stage time, but not the chemistry that makes it real. Each gig was a spark, but we hadn’t found the fire. That changed when four of us—Ben Rogers, Jackson Kelly, Brennan Kelly, and Mason Hawk—locked in. Suddenly, it wasn’t just a project. It was a real band. Same drive, same vision, same fire.

Now we’re bringing high-energy southern rock to venues all over the St. Pete and Tampa area, tight as brothers (literally) and loud as hell.

Hit play, turn it up, and follow @benrogersband. This is the sound of four guys who mean every note.

Albums

Their debut studio record, produced locally by Chris Walker of Gulf Sound Studio, shows Ben Rogers’ maturation into a legitimate blues/rock singer-songwriter on fan-favorite Sorry For Loving You and hints John Mayer on the modern blues-soaked Love You Blind. Yet, the snarl still permeates on the heartbreak-driven Move Along and go-for-the-throat political rocker, If Empathy Can Keep It’s Quiet.

The Sound

The BRB sound is rooted in 90s rock. Still, it introduces influences from southern rock heroes like Lynyrd Skynyrd and the Allman Brothers, soul-driven melodies inspired by Otis Redding and Eric Burton of the Black Pumas, and blues-soaked solos that Stevie Ray Vaughn and Jimi Hendrix imprinted on many young artists.

Live Shows

The energy shifts when the BRB takes the stage. Audience members feel they are transported back to the 90s, with inspiration borrowed from greats like Green Day, Jellyfish, and The Black Crowes. The four-piece group plays every show like it’s their last, and nothing will give you a better feel for the BRB than attending a live show.

Ben Rogers began performing music in the Tampa Bay area at the age of 10, blasting out covers from early influences like Green Day and My Chemical Romance. Before long he was cranking out originals and formed the Ben Rogers Band, drawing in new fans with every live performance. His first studio release, the 4-song EP “Love U Blind” was released in 2020. A live release from his sold-out “On To Nashville” show followed. BRB completed production on their latest batch of originals in 2024.

Jackson Kelly grew up playing many different instruments, eventually turning his focus mainly to drums. He joined the BRB in early 2023, with his powerful, yet tasteful playing melding beautifully with the rest of the band.

Brennan Kelly, like his brother Jackson, has been in the music game for longer than most musicians his age. Growing up in a musical household, Brennan developed the techniques and skills, imprinted by Southern rockers Lynyrd Skynyrd and The Allman Brothers, that make him an outstanding player.

Though Mason Hawk is the newest member of the BRB, he blends with the rest of the band as if he had been there from the start. His classical training and Southern rock influence blend into a unique style that compliments the sound of the BRB.
